Medical Aesthetic / Dermatology Services

These services may be partially covered by insurance, depending on the diagnosis, insurance plan, and medical necessity:

Medical acne treatment with prescription therapy Chemical peels when medically indicated Microneedling for acne scar improvement.

Cyst removal, mole removal, skin tag removal, biopsies Covered when lesions are cancerous, precancerous, painful, bleeding, infected or cause functional impairment.

Topical/oral medications and light or laser therapy for medically indicated conditions.

PRP therapy for hair loss, steroid injections, diagnostic labs and dermatology consultation.

Chemical peels, prescription creams, laser dermatology for functional or psychosocial distress

Surgical & Medically Supervised Cosmetic Procedures

Some of these services may qualify for insurance coverage if they are reconstructive or medically necessary:

Upper and/or lower eyelid surgery to remove excess skin and tighten muscles. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty may be covered by insurance if the visual field is obstructed or functional impairment is documented.

Rhinoplasty: Nose reshaping for aesthetic concerns.

Septoplasty: Improves deviated septum and airflow, reduces chronic congestion and sleep-related breathing problems
